On a whim this morning Jim and I decided to take Payton to Seaworld. We had been discussing it for a while now, but I very seldom have a weekend day off so this morning after Payton and my morning nap we headed to Seaworld. It was gorgeous at our house and literally right as we got onto the 52 freeway the gorgeous blue sky turned into a cloudy, grey chilly afternoon. When we got to the park, I was already freezing but as luck would have it I had a coat in the back of my SUV, thank God! We headed straight into the park to see Elmo and his best buddy, Zoe. Payton was dying with excitement, it really got our afternoon off to a great start. After Elmo we went over to the kiddie play “tide pool” where she got to play and interact with all of the other mini-humans. We really couldn’t get enough of her reactions, I wish I would have brought the video camera because this kid inherited her genuine reactions from her Aunt Kathy. It truly is hysterical! She loved the Shark Encounter, and as we walked through the exhibit she exclaimed, “fish!” Another first word. I also forgot to mention that as we were leaving our house this morning Payton had started to walkout onto our patio and I said to her, “Payton, it’s time to go bye-bye, follow mama to the car” she literally looked at me and said, “bye” and walked out the backdoor. ahhh! These are the moments. Our day at Seaworld was amazing and it was so nice to finally spend a day with my lovies. After our stay at the park we picked up our friends, Geoff and Jinger and headed into OB to eat at yummy Pizza Port. It was like going back six years reliving my Sunday funday days after work at Friday’s we would head to the Port. Overall, such a great weekend and I am thankful I am off tomorrow as well. We have a mini photo shoot that my dear friend, Tessa, of Grin & Share It Photo, is taking pictures of our daughter’s for my Evi Luna Boutique. I have been working all evening on some stunning new clips. I cannot wait to see how it comes out tomorrow!
I hope everyone had a great weekend as well.
Photo overload begins…
Her first sight of Elmo. I think her legs were running in her daddy’s arms to get to him.
I may have gotten the first Mickey picture but Daddy got her real loves first picture, Elmo!
In the tide pool she kept running over to the Elmo sign and waving to him. It was pretty funny!
The Sea Lions, she kept calling them “dadgy” or doggie. It’s probably because their barks sound like the dog across the street from us.
She couldn’t get enough of the lions, it was so sweet!
In the Penguin Encounter. I love this photo, it melts my heart!
Laughing at the Walrus who had swam by, looked right at her through the glass and then swam over and plopped right down. She thought it was the funniest thing.
The Beluga Interaction Program was my favorite, I love these whales! There is just something about them that is mesmerizing. Payton could not get enough of them, we probably stayed here the longest because the three whales that were in there kept swimming right by.
Our last stop was at the Sting Ray pool. I am glad we ventured over there because they will be closing this area for two years as they remodel. They will be moving the sting rays over to Atlantis but you will no longer be able to touch or feed them. Payton got to play in the water as many swam by and brushed her hand. It was so cool. I am so ecstatic about our visit because I have not been to Seaworld since fourth grade, pretty damn sad considering I worked ten minutes from there for three years and it literally takes us twenty minutes. So happy we have rest of the year to play!
