I go in tomorrow for my 16 week appointment and I cannot wait! This last week has been so exciting! Besides growing like crazy I finally realized that gassy feeling I thought I was experiencing last week was my Lil cupcake moving around letting me know “she” is doing well in my tummy. The moment I knew for sure it was the baby nudging me was on Sunday as Jim and I were driving home from the grocery store and I had three little taps on the left side. I turned to Jim and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling! It was the most amazing moment so far! The feeling just makes everything more real and I cannot wait to see “her” tomorrow. Less than a month from now we will learn if our cupcake will be a ballerina or a point guard! I will post pictures tomorrow!!!
Happy Fourth!
Baby at 13 Weeks
This post is over two weeks late but I finally had a moment to write about baby. At 13 weeks I went to have my NT Scan and these ultrasounds pics are from then. Baby A is doing well and growing like a weed! It was fun to see the baby move around, suck its thumb, yawn, and be stubborn for the tech who was trying to check out the spinal cord. The heartbeat was around 165. I go back to the doctor on the 8th for my 16 week appointment so more pictures to come!
Happy Anniversary!
Blueberry-Peach “Cobbler”
I would love to admit that cravings haven’t set in, but they have. On Thursday I was watching the food network like any other typical day and saw one of my fav celebrity chefs making a cobbler. Again, anyone who knows me, knows I love pie crust, sugary dough, whatever it is. I don’t care what kind of fruit or filling lie nestled between the buttery, sugary goodness. I have to have it! So, with that said all day Friday I was imagining what kind of baked fruit I would make for my parents on Saturday night. I went with peaches and blueberries, and instead of doing a typical cobbler crumb, or shortcake “cake” I mixed up a brown sugar shortbread and rolled it out and cut out with a cookie cutter for individual portions. In the end I was completely satisfied with my impromptu “cobbler”.
