When Peanut was getting her mouthful of teeth I never remembered it to be this bad. Maybe because she was so little and she would just sleep through her whines but now with her boost in vocals, attitude, etc. I just feel so badly and helpless for her. We have made the transition into her big girl bed, she is napping and starts off nighttime in there and then by 3 am she is screaming bloody murder because her mouth is hurting her so badly. Last night when she came into our room she was shaking in pain and only wanted me. I tried consoling her and finally she would fall asleep but as soon as I would try and move because my hip was throbbing she would wake back up and freak out all over again. On another side to all of this we have been pacifier free for six days so my poor baby is going through hell. I actually threw the pacifier away yesterday so there is no turning back, not that she wants it because she hasn’t shown any signs of wanting it, I just know it comforts her and my sanity when she is whiny. Today when I met an old employee for lunch I noticed she had a rash all over her face, then I looked at her back and tummy and she had spots everywhere. I have made an appointment for tomorrow but, really??! Can’t this kid catch a break? I mean to wake-up to a bloody-drooled on pillow has to be bad. Oh! The joys of being a parent. On a happy note, at least this is all happening before the baby arrives, right?
Update: When she woke-up from naptime, she came out looking for me with blood dripping from her mouth, I wiped it quickly and then more was flowing from her mouth. arg! Why are two-year molars the worse?!

Molars always hurt worse than other teeth because they’re bigger. I feel so bad for your little girl!!

Wow. Blood? I have never heard of teething with blood. Maybe I live under a rock. Our little guy had a really rough weekend also. Never ever remember it being this bad when he was younger (almost 2 now). Maybe she has something else going on that is related to the rash that is causing her discomfort?
