This past weekend my in-laws were in town from Jersey. The days were jam packed with sightseeing and a lot of eating. Unfortunately, I was only able to join them on Sunday because of working and fulfilling a few cupcake orders. We started the day by going to the SD swap meet, they always hit up the marketplace while visiting, we had wanted to bring them to the OC swap meet since it is better but with too much driving involved we stayed local. After some shopping we headed over to Old Town and had lunch at Barra Barra. Jim and I went here for our anniversary, it is quaint and nestled in the very back of Old Town park. The food is amazing and they have SD best margarita for only $5. Being the best parent I totally forgot to pack Payton’s lunch, we had exhausted all of our snacks so I decided to try something new and we gave her mashed black beans. Barra Barra offers these with salsa when you dine, it has a slight hint of cumin and they are so yummy! I thought it would be a good time to start P on them! After she ate the entire bowl we moved on to Grandpa’s guacamole and then she ate half of an avocado. She is such a California girl!
