22 Weeks

Jim and I decided to take a stay-cation this week. We started out the weekend by us parting ways. Jim went on his way for “Georges Last Stand” in Las Vegas and I headed to Palm Desert with all the besties for a girls weekend. I had a relaxing two days soaking up the desert sun while Jim partied with a ‘stache and eleven other bro’s while saying good-bye to George’s single life. I can’t say Jim got to relax at all, but I ended up driving out to Las Vegas late Sunday night to be with him for three days. We stayed at the Luxor, not our favorite hotel, but we got a stellar deal of $50/night plus a $25 food credit. We mostly slept, watched A&E, hit the pool once but the 117 degree weather wasn’t fit for this momma-t0-be. We headed home early Wednesday morning to spend time with my parents, even though I slept 3/4 of the time we were there. My Dad recently lost his job so it was nice to be up in the mountains, I only wish I wasn’t as tired as I was and could have stayed longer. After that we had to pick-up the puppy at my sister’s house in Murrieta. Delilah behaved for the most part, only stealing the kids food a few times and ended up sending off a potential burglar from her home (I knew her loud bark would come in handy). I am thankful that nobody was hurt and that my sister will be getting out of communal living within the next month. . . hurry up escrow! As for today we took a long walk along the San Diego Harbor and plan on kayaking the bay tomorrow. The main goal for this vacation was to get the nursery ready for our little girl, but all we can do for now is clean out all the crap the is squished into the closet. With three upcoming baby showers, I need to make room for her stuff. Okay, okay, I am rambling. Yeah to being 22 weeks, two more until V-Day.

>How far along?: 22 Weeks

Total weight gain: 23 Pounds :/

How big is baby?: 1 pound, about the size of a papaya.

Maternity clothes?: I need them, but I hate spending the money on them.

Stretch marks?: I just notice a few on the upper side of my rear.

Sleep?: I truly am in need of a snoogle pillow.

Best moment this week?: Jim finally feeling the baby move. She gave him a series of really good kicks. He even felt her tooshy pushing through.

Movement?: Yes, I officially have a jumping bean that is practicing martial arts.

Food cravings?: I haven’t really had any, food in general is just appealing. Hence, the weight gain.

Labor signs?: We still have at least 18 weeks for that.

Belly button in or out?: I would say I have about three more weeks until it pops.

What I miss: my un-wide body. I need to enjoy this while I can so I am going to openly accept all compliments of me being a cute expecting mom.

What I’m looking forward to: Decorating the nursery and deciding on a name.

Milestone: Last week of the fifth month.
